Add seasonal style to your home with our editors’ picks for fall decor

Shop items from retailers in Dallas and far beyond to add a touch of coziness as temperatures drop.

When temperatures finally drop below 90, we know fall has truly arrived in North Texas. Want to lean into the cozy season with equally cozy decor? We searched both small businesses and larger retailers for items that will spruce up your home design.

Dallas-based designer Caitlin Wilson has a store on Henderson Avenue (and online, too) where you can shop her signature pink and blue decor. This fall, she released a new collection of plaid pillows. We’re dreaming of the Bailey Box Pleat Pillow in an army green, accented with barely-there pink and blue, on a sofa or armchair.

Fall bedding from Pottery Barn

It’s definitely not time to break out your flannel sheets, but the Autumn Botanical Comforter from Pottery Barn (pictured at top) will give you the feel of a fall refresh without making your bed too toasty. Made of a crisp cotton percale, you’ll stay cool but get to enjoy fall colors and botanicals.

Seasonal placemats from Trunk Curated

Trunk Curated — Dallas entertaining expert Kimberly Whitman’s online shop for table decor and hosting resources — has all sorts of seasonal setups. The Hemlock Trails Reversible Round Placemat (sold in a set of six) would look great on a dining table or kitchen island. The two-toned toile pattern makes them flexible enough to mix with other colors, and the reversible design gives you options.

Adorn your door with a seasonal wreath. Williams Sonoma has numerous options, but we’re especially fond of the Pheasant Feather Live Wreath. The feathers and dried pomegranates are blended with wheat stalks, preserved oak leaves and more to create the autumn look.

Iron leaves from Anthropologie

Low maintenance and ready to be displayed year after year, the Mountain Ash Iron Bunch leaf set sold by Anthropologie would look great as part of a floral arrangement, set out on a dining table or placed along a fireplace mantel. You could even spring (or, rather, fall) for the matching wreath and garland. These items are currently backordered but expected to be available around Nov. 1, so you can still use them before winter arrives.

This whimsical Chinoiserie owl decoration set from Mrs. Alice will make your tabletop, mantel or even bookshelf look like a scene out of a fairy tale — and we love the nontraditional colors for fall decor. Complete with glittery mushrooms, owls, velvet pumpkins, gold acorns and more, the set can be displayed now and repurposed for your Thanksgiving table later on.
