Raising Cane’s donates $100,000 to Snoop Dogg’s youth football league

The Snoop Youth Football League offers youth football and cheer programming for inner-city children in Los Angeles.

Some friends pay for dinner as a kind gesture. If you’re Todd Graves, the billionaire founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s, which has its operational headquarters in Plano, you donate $100,000 to your friend’s charity instead.

“Snoop and I have been friends for years, and I look forward to any chance we can partner together to make a difference. He’s a great person and has a heart for giving back to those who need it most,” Graves said in a news release Tuesday.

The six-figure donation was made to the Snoop Youth Football League, the LA rapper’s football and cheer initiative for inner city children between the ages of 5 and 13. Snoop Dogg founded the nonprofit in 2005 that has since served more than 60,000 children, according to its website.

This is not the first time that Snoop Dogg and Graves have come together. Snoop appeared on an episode of Graves’ TV show Restaurant Recovery, and he even worked a Cane’s drive-through in Arkansas in 2021.

“This donation enables the charity to impact more lives by engaging inner-city youth in football and cheer while teaching them strong values to build their lives around,” Snoop Dogg said in the release.

Raising Cane’s is no stranger to charity. Last year, the restaurant donated 15% of its profits on Aug. 17 to a Hawaii shelter helping those who were displaced by wildfires. The restaurant also supports Dodgers pitcher and Dallas native Clayton Kershaw’s charity. The former MLB MVP even made an appearance at a Dallas location a few years ago.
