Former spy for the CIA and FBI will give a virtual presentation for the Allen library

Tracy Walder is a TCU professor and the author of 'The Unexpected Spy.'

Who’s up for some spycraft? The Allen Public Library will present a live virtual program by author Tracy Walder, who worked for the CIA and FBI, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at allentx.swagit.com/live. Viewers can submit questions until 8:30 p.m. July 23 at liveonstage@cityofallen.org.

Walder’s new book, The Unexpected Spy: From the CIA to the FBI, My Secret Life Taking Down Some of the World’s Most Notorious Terrorists, chronicles her time as both a counterterrorism officer with the CIA and an FBI special agent working in Chinese counterintelligence operations.

Walder, a graduate of the University of Southern California and Chapman University, is an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Texas Christian University. She sits on the board of Girl Security, a public service program aimed at bolstering girls’ understanding of personal and national security.
