Dallas-based military historian Geoffrey Wawro will discuss the Vietnam War in a book-signing appearance at Interabang Books on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m.

Wawro’s new book, The Vietnam War: A Military History, offers a comprehensive look at the conflict. It was called by Kirkus Reviews magazine as “among the best Vietnam War histories.”

Wawro is a professor at the University of North Texas and director of the school’s Military History Center. He has written seven books, including Quicksand: America’s Pursuit of Power in the Middle East and Sons of Freedom: The Forgotten American Soldiers Who Defeated Germany in World War I.
