First-ever Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival is coming to Arlington this fall

More than a dozen acts are lined up so far for the inaugural Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival in Arlington this fall.

Tickets are now on sale for the three-day festival, which will bring rock, country, Americana, blues, jazz and Tejano music to the city’s downtown Oct. 1-3.

Eighteen venues, including Arlington Music Hall, Levitt Pavilion and Texas Live!, will host performances.

Music will be designed to evoke the “Great American Road Trip,” according to Downtown Arlington Management Corporation, which is organizing the festival.

“Our vision for the Ramblin’ Roads Music Festival is to recreate that sense of discovery and freedom you get on a really great road trip,” Maggie Campbell, the organization’s president and CEO, said in a press release. “By design, festival-goers will experience a variety of venues, activities and musical genres. You’ll hear songs that you know, bands that you want to get to know better, and places that make you want to stay for another set.”

The festival will also include a free classic car show, a Sunday gospel brunch, a youth talent showcase and an urban artisan market.
