Frisco RoughRiders hosting ‘Free Britney’ themed game next week

The minor league baseball team is encouraging people to wear pink and dress like Britney Spears.

The Frisco RoughRiders have announced they will hold a #FreeBritney-themed game on Thursday, Aug. 5, in support of pop star Britney Spears.

Free Britney is an online movement, rallying support for Spears as she seeks autonomy from her ongoing conservatorship. RoughRiders Director of Marketing Lauren Callender said the goal of the themed night is to “celebrate the iconic career of Britney Spears while also bringing awareness to her conservatorship case.”

“We hope to see Britney fans and supporters of all ages in attendance wearing pink, dressing in iconic Britney looks and creating signs to show their support of on of the biggest pop stars of all time,” Callender said in an email statement.
