Hanukkah, the eight-day festival of lights, begins Nov. 28. First-night celebrations include those at Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas, the Harbor in Rockwall and the Galleria. The Jewish holiday celebrates a miracle when a single day’s supply of oil to light the candelabra at the Second Temple in Jerusalem lasted eight days. North Texas groups are making sure that families will have free and festive opportunities to celebrate the holiday, which continues through Dec. 6.
