Here’s which D-FW events are off as the coronavirus crisis escalates

Chris Stapleton and Eagles concerts are among the big events canceled or postponed.

UPDATED at April 16 at 5 p.m. Additional cancellations have been added to this list.

Throughout the week, there have been an avalanche of cancellations and postponements as local authorities ban public gathering and local and national players scramble to rework their schedules amid a growing health crisis.

Below is the most current list of cultural events in North Texas that have been disrupted. We’ll update this list as we continue to watch for changes.

Taste Addison

The annual festival, set for May 29-31, has been canceled. Alternative dates are being considered for the event.

Dallas Pride

The annual festival, set for June 6-7, has been rescheduled to be held July 25-26 at Fair Park.

Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival

The Richardson music festival, set for May 15-17, has been canceled. Full refunds will be available to ticketholders.

Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival

The annual festival, set for April 17-19, has been canceled. The trails also are closed.

Cottonwood Art Festival

The Richardson festival, set for May 2-3, has been canceled. The fall celebration of the semiannual fest is still scheduled to take place Oct. 3-4.

Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones postponed its Cotton Bowl concert, originally set for May 29. The Stones’ “No Filter” 15-show summer tour was set to begin in San Diego on May 8 and wrap up in Atlanta on July 9. New dates have not yet been set.

Jenna Bush Hager: Everything Beautiful Tour

The tour date, scheduled for April 25, will be rescheduled to a new date that will be announced soon.

Memorial Day Music Fest

The festival set for May 24 has been canceled.

Fair Park

While Fair Park will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., its institutions and buildings are closed. These include the African American Museum, the Children’s Aquarium, Hall of State, Fair Park Music Hall and Texas Discovery Garden. Here is an up-to-date list of upcoming events that have been postponed or canceled.

Dallas International Film Festival

The film festival originally scheduled for April 16-23 has been postponed to a future date.

Frisco Uncorked

The food and wine festival has been postponed from May 30 to a new date.

Taco Libre

The taco festival was rescheduled from April 25 to Nov. 7.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

The arboretum is closed until further notice.

WinStar World Casino and Resort

The casino, all retail stores and all casino restaurants have been closed through April 15. The WinStar World Casino Hotel will remain open at this time.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival

The 40th season of the festival, previously set to begin April 4, has been canceled. Visit srfestival.com for more information.

Chris Stapleton with Willie Nelson at Globe Life Field

Fans will have to wait longer to catch a glimpse of the Texas Rangers’ new $1.2 billion stadium. Stapleton announced that the show has been postponed. He hasn’t yet announced a new date, although it’ll likely be sometime in the summer, according to a Rangers spokesperson. Willie Nelson was set to be the opener.

Big Texas Beer Fest

The festival set for March 27-28 has been postponed to July 17-18.

American Airlines Center

All events through April 15 are canceled or postponed.

Fortress Festival

The fourth annual music festival scheduled for April 25 has been postponed, according to the organizer’s Instagram. Ticket purchases will be honored when the festival returns.

Dallas Comedy Festival

The comedy festival has been postponed to a future date. Ticket purchases will be honored when the festival returns. Dallas Comedy House will continue to host shows throughout the month at reduced venue capacity.

Fort Worth Zoo

The zoo will be closed through April 30. The cancellation includes education programs, corporate and private events and any other gathering at the zoo. This includes the zoo’s annual zoo run. The next run is scheduled for April 3, 2021.

Dallas Art Fair

The yearly event, which draws art world movers and shakers from all around the globe, has been postponed until October. It emerged as the centerpiece of Dallas’ April Arts Month under Mayor Mike Rawlings. Last year it drew 95 galleries.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival

The festival, scheduled for April 3-5, has been postponed until September. Fest organizers have submitted a revised special event permit for Sept. 11-13 to the city of Dallas, according to the event’s website.

Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival

All events scheduled for April 2-5 will be postponed until Oct. 22-25. Ticket holders will be notified by email by March 19 with instructions on how to obtain a refund, according to the festival’s Instagram account.

Nasher Prize

In September, the Nasher Sculpture Center announced Chicago sculptor Michael Rakowitz as the recipient of its marquee award. The official award ceremony was set to run April 2-4 — now, make that Nov. 4-6.

Dallas Zoo and the Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park

The Dallas Zoo is closed indefinitely. Certain staff will remain on site to look after the more than 2,000 animals in the zoo’s care. The Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park, which is managed by the same operator behind the zoo, also remains closed indefinitely.

Six Flags Over Texas

The popular amusement park is closed until mid-May due to coronavirus concerns. Hurricane Harbor, the water park Six Flags operates across Interstate-30, is not scheduled to open until May.

Texas Theatre

The venue is temporarily closed until further notice.

Traders Village

The weekend marketplace in Grand Prairie is closed.

Fan Expo Dallas

Fan Expo Dallas, billed as “3 Days of Anime, Sci-Fi, Cosplay, Gaming and Comics” and originally set to include all four hobbits, has been postponed until June 19-21.

Dallas Auto Show

Organizers recently announced that the show would not go on. About 500 vehicles were gunning for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, where the event was to take place March 18-22.

Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade

Mayor Eric Johnson canceled the city’s biggest St. Pat’s celebration. It was expected to draw more than 125,000 spectators. The accompanying block party was also called off.

Concerts

Many North Texas concerts are canceled or postponed. Ticket policies vary depending on the show. Check with the vendor from whom you purchased tickets for the latest information. Below are some of the major shows that are no longer taking place as scheduled.

JMBLYA

The eighth annual, three-day multicity festival, originally slated to Dallas, Austin, and Houston in Texas on May 1-3, has been postponed to be held in the fall.

Black Violin: Impossible Tour

The duo’s performance, scheduled for April 5, has been rescheduled to a new date that will be announced soon.

Jimmy Buffett

The musician’s May 23 concert has been rescheduled to June 21. Tickets will be honored for the new date.

WinStar

Concerts at WinStar have been canceled through the end of March.

Michael Bublé at Dickies Arena

New dates haven’t been scheduled. But for now, the slick-haired singer’s April 4 show ain’t happening.

Sturgill Simpson at American Airlines Center

The March 27 show with Tyler Childers has been rescheduled for May 30.

The Granada Theater and Sundown at Granada

Many events are canceled or postponed. Check the theater’s website for details.

Billy Bob’s Texas

The country music honky-tonk is closed until further notice. All April concerts have been postponed.

All events at Allen Event Center

All events are postponed or canceled.

All live concerts and events at House of Blues

All concerts through April 30 are canceled or postponed. The restaurant and bar is closed until further notice.

All events at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio

The Denton music venue will be closed through March 31.

All March and April shows at the Kessler Theater

The theater says all March and April shows are being rescheduled.

Not So Fun Wknd

The music festival that was scheduled to be held March 18-22 was canceled.

The Eagles at American Airlines Center

The band’s March 17 performance at American Airlines Center, set to feature a run-through of the entire landmark album, was canceled. The concert has been rescheduled for Oct. 21.

Dan + Shay at American Airlines Center

The pop country duo postponed its March 21 show to July 31.

Femme It Forward

The March 21 event was postponed.

Carrie Underwood at Choctaw Casino

The March 14 concert was rescheduled for Sept. 11.

Shakespeare Dallas

The organization has canceled its 2020 summer season. It will present Romeo and Juliet in the fall.

Cry Havoc Theater Company

The organization has postponed the remainder of its 2019-20 season.

Titas/Dance Unbound

The organization has postponed the remainder of its 2019-20 season.

'The Dallas Opera

The Dallas Opera is cancelling all performances and programs for the remainder of the 2019-20 season. This includes all performances of Don Carlo and the double bill of Pulcinella and La voix humaine, the performance of The Breman Town Musicians and the first two performances of The Barber of Seville. The opera plans to return in the fall for its 2020-21 “Embrace the Passion” season. The Dallas Opera will live stream some performances on its Facebook page.

All public programs and events at the AT&T Performing Arts Center venues in the Winspear Opera House, Wyly Theatre and Strauss Square

All programs and rehearsals are canceled through at least April 29.

Bass Hall

All performances are canceled through May 17.

Circle Theatre

The theater’s regional premiere of Something Clean, set for April 23-May 16, has been canceled. In addition, Circle Theatre will be closed to the public until further notice.

Dallas Bach Society

The Dallas Bach Society’s next concert offer, set for March 28, has been rescheduled to a 2022 date.

Jo Koy: Just Kidding World Tour

The comedian’s Dallas performance, originally set for April 30 and May 1, will be rescheduled to a future date.

Changmu Dance Company

Set to be presented by Titas/Dance Unbound, the show set for April 11 has been canceled. Titas says it’s working to reschedule them.

‘American Mariachi’

The Dallas Theater Center has suspended public performances of American Mariachi, initially set to show March 14 through April 5.

Ochre House Theater

The theater’s upcoming show, Shangri-La Lost, set to open April 25, will now open Aug. 22. As of now, the theater will still put on La Muerte de Don Quixote from June 24 through July 3.

The theater will stream its past production of Mrs. Haggardly on its YouTube channel April 3-24.

Fort Worth Opera

The Fort Worth Opera’s 2020 Festival has been canceled, and the company is postponing all scheduled performances.

Irving Arts Center

The arts center has canceled all events through May 15. The Irving Arts Center facility and Irving Archives and Museum will be closed to the public through April 5. Visit the center’s website for updates.

Teatro Dallas

The theater group’s production of Cement City, slated to open on March 26 at the Latino Cultural Center, is currently postponed.

Eisemann Center

All events scheduled through April 30 have been canceled, according to the venue’s website.

Plano Symphony Orchestra

All March and April performances have been canceled.

Fine Arts Chamber Players

The orchestra’s March 28 concert at the Dallas Museum of Art was canceled.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is extending its cancellations of concerts and Soluna events through April 29. Ticket holders for affected events may contact DSO Guest Services at 214-849-4376, at mydso.com or via email at customerservice@dalsym.com.

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

All performances have been canceled in conjunction with the closure of the Bass Performance Hall through May 17.

Single tickets are on sale now for the 30th anniversary season of Concerts in the Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The festival takes place June 5-July 4 and features musical selections including “The Music of Queen,” Sarah Jaffe, “The Music of Selena,” “Star Wars and Beyond: A Laser Light Spectacular,” “The Music of Harry Potter" and more. Kids 10 and under are free on the lawn and there are fireworks every night. Adult tickets are $25 for lawn seating and $48-$79 for reserved tables.

‘Beautiful – The Carole King Musical’

All performances have been canceled in conjunction with the closure of the Bass Performance Hall through May 17.

Texas Ballet Theater

The ballet company has canceled all remaining performances and events of its 2019-20 season. In addition to the previously confirmed cancelation of Image/Imbue/Bartok, this affects the company’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as the gala and opening night dinner associated with the production. Ticketholders are asked to email ticketing@texasballet.org with questions about tickets.

Additionally, both the Fort Worth and Richardson campuses of Texas Ballet Theater School will be closed through May 17. The school plans to resume classes May 18, but the date continues to be fluid based on recommendations from local health and government agencies.

The Cliburn

All events are canceled or postponed through May 30.

Dallas Summer Musicals ‘Come From Away’

Remaining performances of the musical were canceled. DSM is encouraging patrons to keep their tickets in the event that performances are rescheduled at a later date.

‘Playwrights in the Newsroom’

The final performances of the presentation through March 15 were canceled.

Dallas Chamber Music Society

The March 23 presentation of the Jerusalem Quartet and the May 4 concert featuring the Harlem Quartet have been canceled.

American Baroque Opera Co.

The opera company’s performances of Bach’s “St. John Passion," set for March 19 and 21, were canceled.

Do No Harm

Two readings set for March 17-18 have been rescheduled to dates in July, according to Echo Theatre’s website.

Stage West Theatre

All performances of the theater’s current play, The Children, are canceled. The theater is presenting a digital video stream of the play April 9-22. Art and Cultural

Meadows Museum at SMU

The museum will be closed to the public through April 30. The presentation of “Alonso Berruguete: First Sculptor of Renaissance Spain," originally scheduled to open March 29, was postponed.

The museum will be closed to the public until further notice. The museum’s current exhibit (art from AISD schools), set to be on view through April 15, has been canceled. The museum will post art history inspired-crafts on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum

The museum has closed to the public until further notice.

The museum has temporarily closed.

Perot Museum of Nature and Science

The museum is closed to the public indefinitely.

The museum is closed until further notice.

Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

The museum is closed until further notice.

Nasher Sculpture Center

The Nasher closed March 13 and will remain closed until further notice. All events are suspended through April 30.

The Dallas Museum of Art

The museum is closed to the public until further notice. DMA collections can be viewed online. The museum plans to offer virtual exhibition experiences, behind-the-scene stories from around the museum and guides for creatively keeping boredom at bay.

Dallas Contemporary

The museum is temporarily closed, and all events at the museum are canceled until further notice. (And so is its annual fundraiser, the S/S20 Gala.) Upcoming exhibitions will be rescheduled.

The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture
