Garland farmers market to host Easter egg hunt this Saturday

The “Urban Bunny Trail” Easter egg hunt will employ COVID-19 precautions and is set to host up to 500 kids this Saturday.

Kids in Garland looking to get a head start on Easter egg hunting are in luck. A free scavenger hunt, called the “Urban Bunny Trail,” will take place in downtown Garland this Saturday, March 13. The hunt will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until supplies run out.

In an effort to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols, eggs will not be hidden on the ground but placed with masked vendors. In an email, organizers Daniel and Kirsten Hodson said kids will be given a map with 40 egg locations, or “bunny stops.”

The trail will follow vendors and shops around The Urban Market, a street festival that occurs every second Saturday from March to December.

Kids are required to bring their own bags or baskets while on the hunt. The Hodsons said participants will be given an egg and a stamp at each stop.
