Area residents and Halloweenies who enjoy the spooky season and ice skating can come to Allen to do both on Halloween weekend.
Here’s how: the Allen Community Ice Rink is hosting a Halloween Open Skate event on Oct. 30 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., featuring a costume contest and raffle prizes. All attendees who show up decked out in Halloween costumes can rent skates for free.
The rink will also waive skate rental fees for attendees who donate non-perishable food items. All on-ice attendees must wear appropriate skates.
Skaters must still pay $5 to enter and use the rink.
Located inside the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, the Allen Community Ice Rink .is located at 200 E. Stacy Road, #1350.
