Grapevine hosts its 38th annual Main Street Fest this weekend

The three-day festival will take over Grapevine’s historic Main Street Friday through Sunday.

The 38th annual Main Street Fest: A Craft Brew Experience will take over Grapevine’s historic Main Street this weekend with a range of performances, carnival rides and street fair.

Coinciding with American Craft Beer Week, visitors can celebrate with a special craft beer tasting. It consists of a flight of eight three-ounce tastings in the craft brew garden, which offers more than 75 beers from more than 30 breweries around the country.

Main Street Fest will also present a lineup of street performers throughout the festival grounds. There will be the sword-fighting high-wire act Pirates of the Columbian Caribbean, illusionist magician Billy Kidd, circus entertainer Cate Great, Guinness World Record-holder Pogo Fred, stunt comedian Wacky Chad, the acrobatic Red Trousers Show and Big Bee the Transforming Robot Car.

Attendees can visit music stages around the festival to hear live music.

“Musical guests include rock bands Mr. Inez and the Zack King Band, country crooners Mojo Brothers, Texas singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis, and Americana / blues singer Kerri Lick and the I-20 Committee,” a news release from the organization states.

In addition, more than 80 locally owned shops, galleries, restaurants, jewelry stores, boutiques and winery tasting rooms along Main Street will be open during festival hours.

Tickets can be purchased online for $5 for children and seniors and $9 for adults. Festival hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
