Santa’s Village will be held at Huffhines Park this year due to a recent fire at City Hall, the city of Richardson said in a news release.
The event was relocated because most of the pathways to the current site — the fountain plaza adjacent to City Hall — have been impacted by fire-related fencing. At this time, the status of City Hall is uncertain.
Huffhines Park, at at 300 N. Plano Road, will feature plenty of parking for visitors, restroom availability and an existing paved trail for navigating the Santa’s village.
Santa’s Village is set to open Dec. 3. More details and hours are still in the planning stages.
