$12.9M Southlake stunner tops Texas’ most expensive home listings

The home has a bowling alley, a 10-car garage and more

A nearly $13 million Southlake estate was the most expensive home to hit the market in Texas last month.

Five of the state’s 10 priciest homes were in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to an October list from the Houston Association of Realtors. The association uses information from local listing services throughout the state, including North Texas Real Estate Information Systems.

The data was compiled before the end of the month, so some homes listed in late October may be included in November’s rankings. Some homes listed in late September may have made the October list. The list doesn’t include any new construction homes that are not move-in ready.

The $12.9 million property, located at 935 W. Dove Road, is nearly 21,000 square feet and sits on a more than 7-acre lot. The home was built in 2007. It has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and three half baths.

Troy George, co-owner of Synergy Realty, is handling the listing.

“It pretty much has everything people want,” he said. “It’s got everything. I don’t know what else you want in a home.”

Among the home’s more luxurious features are the pools and spa system. Beneath a stone grotto is the spa and a swim-up bar with seating. The two pools and spa were installed within the last four years at a cost of more than $1 million, George said.

The home also includes a bowling alley, an indoor sports court, a two-story closet, a 10-car garage and a multi-tiered theater room that can seat six comfortably.

Two wells supply the property with water and fill pond that greets visitors who make it beyond the gate. Paved walking paths on the property are surrounded by native oak trees.

Tarrant County tax records list the property owner as the Sylvia Petry Revocable Trust. The home was last sold in April 2023, according to Zillow.

Other D-FW homes on the list include:

  • A nearly $11.5 million home at 940 W. Dove Road in Southlake. The 8-bedroom home sits on a 4.83-acre lot just down the road from the state’s most expensive listing. The game room includes a two-lane bowling alley.
  • A nearly $10.7 million property at 5515 Palomar Lane in Dallas. The modern Cape Cod estate has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three half baths.
