American Airlines plane bound for D/FW Airport makes emergency landing in Abilene

An American Airlines plane travelling from Mexico to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was forced to make an emergency stop in Abilene on Tuesday due to a cabin pressure problem.

American Airlines spokeswoman Dori Alvarez said Flight 1225 was returning from Cabo San Lucas when the pilot had to land in Abilene.

Alvarez said the plane landed safely after an issue related to the cabin pressure.
