Cathay Pacific is starting a nonstop flight from DFW International Airport to Hong Kong next year.
DFW Airport has not had flights to Hong Kong since 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down almost all flights between the U.S. and Asia. But that will change on April 24, 2025, when the Hong Kong-based airline will operate a route four times a week.
Flights will take off from DFW on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:55 p.m. and arrive two days later at 5:05 a.m. The return flight departs Hong Kong at 4:05 p.m. local time on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and arrives at DFW at 5:55 p.m. on the same day.
“Connecting the cultural and commercial opportunities between DFW and Hong Kong with a nonstop flight is crucial for these two globally influential regions,” said Sean Donohue, CEO of DFW Airport in a release. “We are excited to welcome Cathay Pacific as our newest international airline, with service that will grow DFW’s connectivity throughout Asia and beyond.”
“It is with tremendous pride and excitement that we announce the arrival of Cathay Pacific at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in 2025, a major milestone in the airline’s growth within North America,” Cathay Pacific senior vice president for the Americas Chris van den Hooven said in a statement. “Our new flight is a further testament to the airline’s mission to connect passengers to our home city of Hong Kong and beyond.”
