Who’s worth more — reality TV star Kim Kardashian West or Goosehead Insurance co-founder Robyn Jones?
How about singer-actress Rihanna or Dallas home health care entrepreneur April Anthony?
Props to you if you picked the two North Texas women over the high-profile celebrities.
Jones and Anthony are among four Dallas-Fort Worth entrepreneurs on Forbes' list of the 100 richest self-made women.
Jones, 58, of Fort Worth, checked in with a net worth of $1.1 billion, topping Kardashian West’s $780 million, according to Forbes. Anthony’s net worth of $700 million easily outdistanced Rihanna’s $600 million fortune.
Jones and her husband, Mark, founded the Westlake-based property and casualty insurance agency in 2003. They took Goosehead public in 2018 and own 46% of the company, which wrote $739 million in premiums last year, Forbes reported.
Anthony, 53, of Dallas, founded Encompass Health-Home Health & Hospice in 1998, which she sold for $750 million in 2015 to HealthSouth. Anthony still runs the business. She also started enterprise software provider Homecare Homebase, bought by Hearst at a valuation of $625 million in 2013.
Joining them on the list are military contractor Kathleen Hildreth and Poo-Pourri founder Suzy Batiz.
Hildreth, 59, an Army helicopter pilot who lives in Aubrey, co-founded Denton-based military aircraft maintenance company M1 Support Services in 2003. M1 Support pulled in $850 million in sales last year and its only client is the U.S. government, Forbes reported.
Forbes listed her net worth at $370 million.
Batiz, 56, founded Poo-Pourri, a toilet spray now sold in Target, Costco and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Its revenue grew this year by 15% through July to about $80 million, according to Forbes. It estimated her net worth at $215 million.
Before hitting it big with Poo-Pourri, Batiz filed for bankruptcy twice, once when her bridal shop business failed and later when her staffing startup ran out of money, Forbes reported.
Other Texans in the Forbes ranking include:

- Lisa Su, 51, of Austin, net worth of $530 million. Su is CEO of semiconductor firm Advanced Micro Devices, which has a $100 billion market capitalization. She worked at Texas Instruments, IBM and Freescale before joining AMD in 2012.
