Dallas luxury bus service Vonlane expands with new Atlanta-to-Nashville routes

The new routes will begin Nov. 4 at a discounted introductory rate.

Dallas-based luxury bus service Vonlane is going on the road with new routes between Atlanta and Nashville.

Beginning Nov. 4, the company that markets itself as a premium travel alternative will launch daily service between the two major southern business centers with 38 weekly departures – 19 from each city. Vonlane offers travelers complimentary Wi-Fi, food, beverages, satellite TV and reclining seats.

Alex Danza, Vonlane’s founder and CEO, said the Atlanta-Nashville routes were originally planned for 2020, but the pandemic forced the company to postpone it until now.

“We’re really excited about two amazing cities that are just centers of commerce and entertainment and sports, with great populations that are moving between the two,” Danza said. “For us, it’s all about giving the third alternative to flying or driving themselves, and giving them that alternative to first-class luxury, which they just they don’t have right now.”

Danza said short-haul routes address a missing travel option between major metro areas.

Introductory fares or the Atlanta-Nashville runs are $99 one way or $198 round trip, with no taxes, baggage fees or change fees through January 2023. Tickets can be booked at www.vonlane.com. Normal fares of $119 one way or $238 round trip will apply beginning Feb. 1.

Vonlane’s Atlanta terminal is the Grand Hyatt Buckhead and its Nashville terminal is the Omni Nashville Hotel.

In February, Vonlane added 12 new departure times to its Dallas-to-Houston route, as well as Dallas-to-Austin. The company also lowered fares for certain evening departure times. In April, the company discontinued a route to Oklahoma City, Okla.

Vonlane, which launched in 2014, operates up to 68 daily departures on peak travel days and 370 weekly departures between Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.
