New Hutchins shipping hub will serve Georgia landscaping supply firm

SiteOne Landscape Supply is opening a regional distribution center near I-45 south of Dallas.

A Georgia-based company that bills itself as the nation’s largest landscaping products firm has landed south of Dallas with a regional shipping hub. SiteOne Landscape Supply is taking almost 338,000 square feet of distribution space at 1200 W. Wintergreen Road in Hutchins near Interstate 45.

The Core 5 Logistics Center at Wintergreen industrial project is owned by Cabot Properties.

“This deal represents the continued expansion of home improvement suppliers in the industry and the major reasons why Dallas-Fort Worth is an important regional distribution hub destination for national suppliers,” Cushman & Wakefield’s Adam Curran said in a statement.

Curran negotiated the big distribution transaction along with Cushman & Wakefield’s David Eseke, Gary Collett and Jeff Eisenhart.

The new SiteOne facility is near the Union Pacific Railway Intermodal Center and the FedEx Ground hub on I-45.

Based in Roswell, SiteOne distributes a wide variety of products for landscaping and home improvements, including irrigation equipment, nursery supplies, lighting and outdoor living items.

The company currently has a distribution location in northwest Dallas.

The Wilmer-Hutchins area along I-45 where SiteOne is locating has been one of the fastest-growing warehousing and shipping districts in North Texas, will millions of square feet of new industrial space.
