A Dallas-based building products firm is putting a new distribution center in DeSoto.

Allied Stone Inc. is leasing more than 226,000 square feet of warehouse space in the Eagle Park 20/35 business park in DeSoto.

The new location is on East Centre Park Boulevard north of Wintergreen Road.

The DFW Commerce Center building is at the southeast corner of DFW International Airport near U.S. Highway 183.

“They got an incentive package from us and are going to create about 115 jobs,” said Joe Newman, CEO of the DeSoto Economic Development Corp. “They have a lot of contractors with big national homebuilders.”

Allied Stone sells countertops, cabinets and other products used in homebuilding. The company has its main showroom and office in Northwest Dallas and serves customers in Texas and Oklahoma.

Stream Realty Partners’ Matt Dornak and Drew Feagin negotiated the lease negotiated the new building lease for an institutional owner that acquired the 454,408-square-foot industrial building three years ago.

Allied Stone’s new warehouse is in the same area where retailer Kohl’s has its more than 950,000-square-foot distribution center.

“If you buy something online from them, it comes through that warehouse,” Newman said. “They keep about 600 jobs year-round.”
