A Westlake-based insurance company is expanding its footprint.
Goosehead Insurance is adding more than 40,000 square feet of space to its headquarters in the Terraces at Solana on State Highway 114 in Westlake.
The company has increased its space in the campus to 150,454 square feet.
“The recent expansion of our corporate headquarters and the extension of our lease agreement provides us the certainty and flexibility to support continued strong growth,” Mark E. Jones, chairman and chief executive Officer of Goosehead, said in a statement.
Goosehead moved to The Terraces at Solana in 2017 and has since more than doubled its offices.
Started in 2003, Goosehead completed its initial public offering in 2018 and now has more than 1,000 locations across the country.
“The fact that they are expanding during the current economic environment is a testament to the way they operate their business," said Josh White, executive vice president with commercial property firm CBRE.
White along with CBRE’s Chelby Sanders and Ryan Buchanan negotiated the new lease with Jeff Eckert and Blake Shipley of JLL.
It’s been almost a year since the Solana office buildings were purchased by a partnership of Chicago-based Glenstar Properties and Singerman Real Estate.
Since then. the new owners have been working on an improvement plan for the properties.
“Glenstar is thrilled that Goosehead has chosen to make The Terraces at Solana their long-term home,” said Matt Omundson, a Glenstar principal.
