The pandemic hasn’t kept a new Allen office project from signing up tenants.
The One Bethany West building under construction on the west side of U.S. Highway 75 has done 45,000 square feet of office deals in the last three weeks. And the 200,000-square-foot building under construction at 950 West Bethany Drive is more than 40% leased.
The project, which started construction last year, will open next month.
“We believe we are delivering a type of product that is very much needed and the market is fortunately proving our investment thesis to be right,” Kaizen Development Partners’ Derrick Evers said in a statement.
New tenants in the office building include Highlands Residential Mortgage and Newline Interactive Inc.
Commercial property firm JLL’s Blake Shipley and Chris Doggett negotiated the leases.
“We’re thrilled with the momentum that has built at One Bethany West” Shipley said. “Leasing activity like this is a rarity for a project that’s still under construction, even in an optimum economic environment.”
The One Bethany West building is across the street from Allen’s Watters Creek Convention Center and Delta Hotels by Marriott.
It’s the third office project Kaizen Development has done in the project within the past three years.
Kaizen Development is also building an office tower in Dallas’ Uptown area called the Link.
