This 12,512-square-foot home sits behind a concrete wall on 2 acres on Inwood Road. The home was custom-built for the owners by Simmie Cooper, and listing agent Roxann Taylor said the owner worked closely with an architect on the design.
The home is a contemporary design, with walls of glass, sleek white interiors and clean lines with accents of gray and black. It has seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms and four half-bathrooms.
Taylor said the home offers plenty of privacy indoors and out, even though it’s set on a major road. “It offers a lot of privacy to anybody,” Taylor said, because of its almost horseshoe-like design with the backyard living surrounded by the home.
The primary suite, on the first level in its own wing of the house, has a private entrance from a two-car garage. The suite has extremely tall ceilings, a spacious bathroom and a statement closet — all of which maintain the minimalist and sleek design. The primary bedroom has a wall of windows that looks out to the backyard, with a door that accesses the patio.
In the primary bathroom, a large bathtub sits in front of a glass-encased shower. The bathroom has dual sinks and a coffee bar and is open to a massive closet. The closet wraps around the bathroom on two sides, with cabinets finished in a statement, glossy gray along all of the walls.
Moving from the primary wing of the home, there’s an additional room that could be used as an office, and a living area right at the entrance of the home. Down a hallway, the dining room is full of natural light and a wine room is another focal point. Adjacent to the dining room, there’s a floating staircase that leads to the second floor.
The kitchen and another living area are designed with an open concept that looks onto the back patio and over the backyard. The kitchen maintains the black and white design seen throughout the house, with a large center island and additional countertops that provide more seating.
The nearby living room has a wet bar. Accordion-style doors along one part of the exterior wall make indoor-outdoor living possible when weather permits. At one end of the living room, there’s a media room with theater-like seating and accent lights along the walls.
There is one more bedroom on the first floor, near the second garage (which has room for four cars), and the remaining five bedrooms are on the second floor. All have en suite bathrooms. There’s another living area on the second floor with built-in cabinets and views of the backyard.
A bonus room above the four-car garage boasts plenty of extra space, and Taylor said she thinks it could be used as a studio.
Outside, the home has a pool, spa, outdoor seating areas and plenty of open green space.
10106 Inwood Road is listed for $7.85 million by Roxann Taylor of Engel & Völkers Dallas Southlake.
