Logistics firm grows with DeSoto shipping hub

Gulf Relay takes southern Dallas County distribution building to expand operations.

A Mississippi-based logistics company is expanding its local footprint with a new location in southern Dallas County.

Gulf Relay, a third-party logistics provider which has a facility in Coppell, is taking a big block of warehouse space in DeSoto.

Gulf Relay is leasing more than 350,000 square feet of distribution space at the Crossroads Trade Center 1 at 1221 E Centre Park Blvd in DeSoto.

The new location will more than double the company’s North Texas shipping facilities.

“This is a key strategic growth milestone accomplishment for Gulf Relay,” Gulf Relay’s chief supply chain officer Scott Fleener said in a statement. “Gulf Relay is laser-focused on executing as a seamless integrated element of our customers’ supply chain through services and technology.”

Including its operations in Clinton, Miss., Gulf Relay has more than 700,000 square feet of warehouse and logistics operations.

Colliers International’s Ward Richmond and James Ewing negotiated the lease with Cushman & Wakefield’s Kurt Griffin and Nathan Orbin and Jack Stamets and Andy Lowe of Clarion Partners.
