Japanese department store to add second North Texas location in Frisco

Teso Life will move into 10,385 square feet of space at Frisco Ranch shopping center by mid-2022.

Japanese department store Teso Life is set to become the latest addition to the Frisco Ranch shopping center at the intersection of Preston Road and Warren Parkway.

The Flushing, N.Y.-based retailer will take over 10,385 square feet of space formerly home to Stereo East Home Theater as part of the shopping center’s expansion. The store is projected to open in late summer 2022, according to Heather Nguyen, development manager for NewQuest Properties, the commercial real estate firm behind the project.

Three other spaces that make up the center’s expansion have yet to be leased. In total, the expansion will add 23,829 square feet of commercial space as well as a new outdoor green space to Frisco Ranch.

The Frisco location will expand Teso Life’s presence in North Texas, which includes another store in Carrollton. The majority of the company’s seven stores are in New York City, but future locations are planned for Houston and Phoenix. The store sells a wide range of Japanese products, from groceries and snacks to beauty products and kitchen items.
