Yes, you do need two bathrooms in your primary suite. Check out this spacious Preston Hollow home

Plus, there’s a media room, a game room and six bedroom.

At 12,731 square feet, this Dallas home has no shortage of space and includes two full bathrooms in the primary suite, plus plenty of living and entertaining spaces. The home at 5112 Palomar Lane sits on a 1.25-acre lot, a few blocks from the intersection of Inwood Road and Royal Lane in Preston Hollow.

Listing agent Elissa Sabel of Ebby Halliday Realtors sold the home to its current owners and said the sellers have made some changes to update and add to the exterior living spaces.

“It’s palatial. It is grandiose. It is stately,” Sabel said.

When it comes to the design of the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom and three-half-bathroom home, Sabel said that the house is timeless, and a mix of design styles makes it flexible for any type of furnishings one might want to add.

As you step through the front doors, the home’s foyer has a ceiling that reaches two stories tall, an example of the design’s grandeur that includes a winding staircase on one end and an upstairs balcony that looks onto the space. To the left of the foyer, there’s a study complete with built-in bookcases for storage. The home’s formal dining room sits to the right of the foyer.

The formal living room sits just past the foyer after you pass under an archway that supports the upstairs balcony. The formal living room is also two stories tall, with an ornate fireplace on one end and a large set of windows.

The primary suite is one of two bedrooms on the first level of the home. With detailed decorations on the ceiling, a fireplace and space for a sitting area, the primary bedroom echoes the ornate design of the main living spaces in the home. The suite has two full bathrooms that include walk-in closets, plus a sauna in one bathroom and a coffee bar complete with a refrigerator and a sink.

One other bedroom sits on the first level of the home with an en suite bathroom.

The rest of the home’s main living spaces — the kitchen, breakfast room and family room — have an open-concept design where each room connects to the rest. The family room, which has those same two-story-tall ceilings, offers views of the property, an eyecatching stone fireplace and easy access to a wet bar and the kitchen. The kitchen space has ample countertops and cabinets and carved wood designs above the stove that add an extra layer of detail. And for entertaining purposes, the home has a 550-bottle, temperature-controlled wine room.

The home’s remaining four bedrooms sit on the second level, and all have en suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a separate entrance and can be closed off from the rest of the house, making it suitable for a live-in caretaker or for guests. This area of the home also has an additional living room with a kitchenette.

The home also has a media room with a bar and a half-bathroom and a separate game room with another wet bar.

Outside, the landscaped property offers plenty of opportunities for entertaining. The patio is extensive, with an outdoor kitchen, heaters for use in the winter and fans for use in the summer (or what best suits our unpredictable Texas weather). The property also has a pool and a spa.

The home is on the market for $8,199,000.
