Tech company heads to Allen to expand its Texas offices

Pushpay brings new jobs with its office on U.S. 75.

A Washington state-based digital payment firm is expanding its Texas operations with a new office in Allen.

Pushpay — a payment platform for faith-based and nonprofit clients — is taking 10,000 square feet of offices in the One Bethany West building on U.S. Highway 75.

The company, which serves more than 11,000 customers, was founded in 2011 and does business mostly in the United States. Pushpay also provides video streaming, software and data services.

Last year, Pushpay acquired Resi Media, a video streaming company that has an office in Plano.

“Pushpay and Resi are the perfect addition to the growing roster of tech-focused companies in Allen,” David Ellis, Allen Economic Development Corp. assistant director, said in a statement. “Our highly skilled workforce, established and dependable infrastructure and good quality of life all provide companies with the type of amenities that employers are eager to surround themselves with.”

Pushpay and Resi Media have about 60 employees in the Dallas area.

“Allen, Texas, offered the right location to support our future growth initiatives and provides employees in the area a higher-quality office space,” Molly Matthews, Pushpay CEO, said in a statement. “Direct access to shopping and dining, and the central location within the Dallas Metroplex, make this a vibrant location for our team as we continue to expand.”

Ellis said the office deal had been in the works for about a year.

Pushpay is the latest company to land in the Bethany office buildings, which are just west of U.S. 75 and next to the Watters Creek Convention Center. And the Watters Creek Village shopping center is across the street.

“The proximity to walkable amenities is what businesses need and want,” Ellis said.

California-based mobile network company MD7 LLC put offices in One Bethany West building last year. The company plans to create more than 200 jobs with its relocation from San Diego to Allen.

One Bethany West was developed by Dallas-based Kaizen Development Partners.

And several more office buildings are on the way in Allen.

“It really does start with having that good office space,” Ellis said.
