Rental community with more than 400 homes under construction in Princeton

This is the company’s first development in Texas and it’s expected to open in 2024.

A new developer to Dallas-Fort Worth is building hundreds of rental homes in Collin County.

Construction is underway on Oxenfree, a rental community with 408 single-family homes and townhomes in Princeton on more than 50 acres at 1525 FM982 near Myrick Lane, the developer said Thursday.

Princeton is about 10 miles east of McKinney. The city’s population has increased from less than 7,000 to more than 20,000 over the last decade, driven by the growth of Collin County and big employers moving to the area such as Toyota North America’s move to Plano in 2014.
