Pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau puts his $3 million Dallas mansion on the market

The PGA Championship runner-up’s former home includes an HD golf simulator, backyard pool and DeChambeau’s old flat-screen TVs.

LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau is teeing up his old house for the Dallas luxury real estate market. The 2020 U.S. Open winner is selling his $3 million Melshire Estates property.

The 5-bed, 6-bath house sits on a 0.4-acre lot and is 5,339 square feet. Built in 2018 and bought by DeChambeau the same year, the house was once filled with golf memorabilia and displayed the pro golfer’s numerous awards. He has eight PGA Tour wins, has played in eight Masters tournaments and won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2021.

Melshire Estates is located in North Dallas near Forest Lane and the North Dallas Tollway.

DeChambeau moved out earlier this year. The house went on the market last week and has received multiple offers, Rogers Healy and Associates listing agent Jessica Smotherman said.

The house also has numerous entertainment features, including a pool table, a media room with an HD golf simulator, and two flat-screen TVs that DeChambeau “thoughtfully” left behind, according to the listing by Rogers Healy and Associates.

The patio has a pool, fire pit, built-in grill and outdoor fireplace. The house also has a water purifying system, another indoor fireplace and a wet bar.

DeChambeau added the pool and many of the house’s backyard features, including the custom pergola and fire pit. Smotherman said the house is fully wired for the TV and entertainment systems.

“He would spend lots of time out there, just entertaining friends and family,” Smotherman said.

In 2022, DeChambeau posted a tour of the house on YouTube, calling the residence his “fun house.” When living there, he had a slackline tied between two trees in the backyard, as well as a home gym in his garage.

Some gym equipment remains in the three-car garage, according to Smotherman, as well as mirrors and floor pads. The garage also has a dog shower, which DeChambeau used for his dog, Bear.

The first floor features an open layout with an owner’s suite, guest bedroom and chef’s kitchen, which has updated cabinetry, granite countertops and a large island. The second floor has three bedroom suites, each with a private bathroom and walk-in closet.

Jessica Smotherman’s husband, Austin Smotherman, is also a professional golfer and a close friend of DeChambeau’s.

“We love that house,” Jessica Smotherman said. “We spent a lot of time in that house, and I know that he loves that house. He won his first major while living in that house. So we have a lot of really fond memories celebrating with family and friends and holidays and stuff in that house.”

In the YouTube video, DeChambeau credited his ability to live in the mansion to his U.S. Open and Arnold Palmer wins and tour events. According to the PGA, the golfer made more than $30 million in official money while on the PGA Tour. The golfer spent the weekend at this year’s PGA Championship, where he placed second and earned nearly $2 million.

In 2022, DeChambeau left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf, which is funded by the Saudi Arabian monarchy. His four-and-a-half year LIV Golf contract was said to be worth $125 million.

In his 2022 house tour, DeChambeau also mentioned that “version two of the DeChambeau residence” was under construction. Jessica Smotherman said DeChambeau has been building his new home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the past couple of years.

“It’s a beautiful home,” Jessica Smotherman said of his new property. “He has been so patient and very passionate about the build that he is doing.”
