Shoemaker was named following the death earlier this month of Adam Wampler, who had been president of the 109-store Dallas division since early 2020. He will report to Valerie Jabbar, Kroger senior vice president of retail divisions.

“We are confident Keith’s infectious dedication to the company’s promise to be friendly and caring and uplift every way is a true extension of Adam’s legacy that the division team will continue to benefit from under his leadership,” Jabbar said in a statement.

Shoemaker has 44 years of grocery experience and held leadership jobs in merchandise, district and regional operations in D-FW and at Kroger’s Fry’s division.
