H-E-B is holding another Saturday job fair, this time for its Plano store. The retailer has two stores under construction, in Plano and Frisco, that will open this fall. Two more, in McKinney and Allen, will open next summer.
The opening dates still haven’t been announced. But the retailer has set up home pages online for its Plano and Frisco stores with information about departments and its hours of operation, which will be 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. H-E-B has said the Frisco store will open first.
Top store managers also have been named.
Eli Daniel, a 21-year veteran of H-E-B, is the general manager of the Frisco store. Daniel was manager of the Burleson store when it opened in 2010. H-E-B has had stores south and west of Dallas-Fort Worth for a few years while it was buying up property in the market with plans for a major expansion.
Partick Gural, a 16-year veteran of H-E-B, has been named the Plano store manager. He’s been working in the North Texas market and as a regional merchant since late 2019, according to his LinkedIn page. The last store Gural managed was the Central Market store in Houston. Dallas-based Central Market is the specialty food store division of H-E-B.
The Plano store hiring event is Saturday, Aug. 13, at Collin College at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
The San Antonio-based grocer said it’s hiring 700 people for the store under construction at 6001 Preston Road in Plano.
The Plano store also will house an e-commerce fulfillment center that will serve the D-FW region. The company has opened five of these since 2018, most recently this summer in Leander.
