H-E-B plans to hire 700 for its McKinney store

The grocer opened two new locations late last year. Four more are under construction, and additional land was recently purchased for future locations in Celina and Prosper.

H-E-B will start hiring for its McKinney store on Tuesday and said it’s planning to make offers to 700 people by the time the store opens this summer.

The San Antonio-based grocer has not given an exact opening date for the store that will have a True Texas BBQ restaurant and all the traditional departments such as bakery, deli, seafood and catering.

Another H-E-B store started construction around the same time in Allen in early 2022, but it appears the McKinney store is on track to open first.
