NO. 3 SMALL COMPANY
FIRST-TIME WINNER
SPECIAL AWARD: Best values
Automotive collision repair and painting firm based in Plano with 3 locations and 89 employees
Not only did Texas Collision Centers win our No. 3 spot among the small contestants, it ranked highest of all Top 100 companies when it came to operating by strong values.
In the past year, Texas Collision has donated to The Salvation Army, Plano Christmas Cops and Plano Fire Rescue. It gave a restored vehicle to a veteran in need through the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides Program.
Texas Collision offers its 89 local employees medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 401(k) with a matching contribution, vacation and holiday pay, personal and sick time, and company-paid education, training and certifications.
The company has invested heavily in technology to enhance employee performance. Repair technicians can use apps that keep them clued in about production schedules and online estimates.
Co-CEOs and owners Jared Lennox and Daniel Michaelis emailed their responses as a unified voice and didn’t want to deviate from that.
Their mutual leadership style: “Leading by example with a teammate and customer-centric model while maintaining an open dialogue with our team, allowing them to ask questions and give feedback to help build better processes.”
Their mission statement?
“We exist to improve the lives of our customers and teammates by consistently delivering an exceptional, personal and best-in-class collision repair experience.”
Employees told us that their company lives up to that calling.
“Ownership and management truly care about the happiness of all teammates, regardless of title or position,” said one employee. “This is evidenced by the monthly shop lunches, weekly treats, free snacks and beverages for all employees. Also, the 100% open-door policy with transparent actions is a breath of fresh air and invigorating.”
“It goes back to the basics of taking care of our customers, teammates and securing a better future for everyone. The pay is great, the support and respect is amazing. The potential is endless. #bestjobever.”
