Texas hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion brings Hottie Sauce to Popeyes

The superstar is also becoming a Popeyes franchise owner. ‘I’m appreciative of Popeyes’ commitment to empowering Black women,’ she says.

Megan Thee Stallion is the latest celebrity to team up with a fast food chain. The Texas hip-hop star collaborated with Popeyes for Hottie Sauce, available in local restaurants for a limited time.

Made with honey, apple cider vinegar and Aleppo pepper, Hottie Sauce is sweet and spicy, inspired by the hip-hop artist’s personality. Popeyes has three Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce meals. The Hottie Chicken Sandwich is the chain’s first variation of their original chicken sandwich, and Hottie Sauce is also available with 8- and 12-piece chicken nugget meals.

Megan Thee Stallion is also planning to be a multi-unit Popeyes franchise owner.

“I’m appreciative of Popeyes’ commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants,” she said in a statement. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur.”

The Grammy-winning artist who rose to fame with “Hot Girl Summer” also collaborated with Popeyes on “Thee Heat” merchandise available online. The first collection of merchandise includes T-shirts, a bikini, and a 3-piece chicken tender plush dog toy. Two additional merchandise collections will be released in November.

The rapper and the chicken franchise also made a six-figure donation to Houston nonprofit, Houston Random Acts of Kindness, which promotes empathy and compassion.
