One of Dallas’ most popular new restaurants is now serving lunch

Goodwins has entered the lunch chat.

Updated at 4:35 p.m. to include new lunch hours and the addition of happy hour.

Since Goodwins opened on Greenville Avenue in May, its valet line has had the frenetic energy of an ant hill.

The neighborhood restaurant, opened by restaurant veterans Jeff Bekavac and Austin Rodgers, is already a popular hang out for the after work and dinner crowds. Now, it’s adding lunch to the line up.

As of Sept. 19, Goodwins is serving American noontime classics like chicken salad sandwiches and Bloody Marys and will do so every Tuesday through Saturday.

The lunch menu is a near copy of the dinner menu with a few omissions and a few new faces, like the aforementioned sandwich and cocktail, rainbow trout almandine, a potato chip-crusted chicken Milanese and a crispy cod sandwich. Another new cocktail addition is a Garibaldi, an Italian drink made with Campari and “fluffy” or aerated orange juice.

A happy hour menu has also been added, which includes $10 hour cocktails, $6 draft beers, $8 glasses of wine and $10 small plates. Happy hour is available Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.

Lunch reservations, which can be made on Resy, aren’t necessary, but they’re probably a good idea.

Goodwins is located at 2905 Greenville Ave, Dallas. It is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. goodwinsdallas.com.
