Which bars in McKinney have reopened after lifting coronavirus restrictions?

Many establishments are welcoming drinkers once again after Gov. Abbott lifted restrictions.

Editor’s Note: This list will be updated as new information becomes available.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott cleared the way this week for bars to reopen at 25% capacity after being closed since March 21.

After allowing restaurants to begin operating their dining rooms at 25% capacity and permitting businesses like salons and retail stores to reopen with restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, Abbott has lifted restrictions on bars, child care centers and bowling alleys, among other businesses.

In addition to the capacity requirement, bars also must block off the bar itself so customers don’t sit there or order there, with customers instead to be seated. Dancing and moving around are discouraged.
