A Dallas champagne bar has been listed among the 10 best places to enjoy champagne in the United States by the Bureau du Champagne USA.
Coupes, which opened in Dallas’ Oak Lawn area in late 2022, is the only establishment in Texas to make the list..
The award comes from a group that Coupes co-owner Eric Chiappinelli describes as the “real deal” due to the Bureau du Champagne’s role in helping to regulate and promote the champagne industry.
Chiappinelli said he thinks Coupes, with its extensive champagne offerings, has become a neighborhood bar for the Park Cities and Oak Lawn since it opened a few years ago.
“That’s been amazing to us,” he said. “We love where we are.”
Coupes’ menu isn’t limited to bubbles.
Guests can try classic cocktails, like Coupes’ espresso martini with vodka, Caffè Borghetti, cold brew and demerara syrup, in addition to inventive creations from the house, such as the popular “Dancing in the Moonlight” featuring gin, crème de violette, lemon, sparkling and orange blossom.
Food is also among the offerings at Coupes. Those items include the Coupes burger, a smash burger with onions, pickles, and burger sauce with fries or a side salad.
Coupes is commemorating its award from the Bureau du Champagne USA with specials on champagne, live music and more on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. It’s the day after Champagne Day on Oct. 25, an initiative from created by Californian blogger and wine tutor Chris Oggenfus.
