“It has always been my dream to own a bakery,” general manager Alex Loper wrote in a statement. “I’m eager to share such a delicious and allergy-friendly dessert with the community. The concept is so unique and will serve a growing demographic.”

Cinnaholic allows customers to pick from 19 different frosting flavors and 24 toppings. You could make a cinnamon roll with peanut butter frosting topped with peanut butter cups or get a little more adventurous and use the chai frosting, perhaps topped with strawberries.

The chain, which serves 100% vegan products, started in 2010 in Berkeley, California, and started franchising after a 2014 appearance on Shark Tank, the TV show on which Mark Cuban and other investors take pitches from entrepreneurs.

The new Cinnaholic will be at 8930 Highway 121, Suite 570, in McKinney.
