40-plus North Texas restaurants offering Thanksgiving dishes and desserts to-go

Order out from or dine-in at one of these local eateries.

Thanksgiving is likely to look very different this year. Leave the stress of cooking behind and order out from your favorite eatery, or spice it up and try a new spot. Many restaurants are offering to-go meals to enjoy at home for your small family gatherings, and some are open for socially distanced dining. At most of these restaurants, place your orders early.

Al Biernat’s

The restaurant has a special takeout menu that features holiday staples such as a whole turkey and smoked heritage spiral-sliced half-ham, family-style sides like cornbread dressing, garlic smashed potatoes and lobster risotto, and desserts including pumpkin cheesecake and Texas pecan pie. The chain has a dine-in menu and to-go platter prep kits, both available through Nov. 30. The dine-in menu is also available for carryout. Babb Brothers BBQ and Blues

The barbecue joint has an ancho honey-glazed whole smoked turkey available to-go for $80. Customers can add any other menu item to their meal, including one of 11 sides including smoked green beans or bourbon corn. Bacchus Kitchen + Bar

The restaurant in the recently opened Hotel Vin, Autograph Collection has a takeout meal ($200, serves four people) and dine-in menu. The to-go package includes fall farmers salad, mushroom thyme soup, carved cider brined half-turkey with gravy, jalapeño cornbread stuffing, green bean and wild mushroom casserole, roasted garlic and crème fraiche whipped potatoes, cranberry apple sauce and pumpkin pie. Big Al’s

The Dallas eatery offers takeout bundles for the holiday, including the Family Feast that serves eight to 10 people for $125 and the Holiday Dinner that serves four to six people for $99. The menus feature smoked turkey, smoked ham, smashed potatoes, green beans, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls. Menu items can also be ordered a la carte. The Biscuit Bar

The Boardwalk at Granite Park eatery is serving holiday-style tater tots with sweet potato tots, brown sugar and pecan streusel topped with toasted marshmallow ($6). 5580 TX-121, Plano.

Bisous Bisous Pâtisserie

The French bakery offers Thanksgiving-themed specials for the season including pies like apple streusel pie with almond streusel topping, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream and leaf décor. Other options include “cruffins” — which are half croissant and half muffin — for $4.35 each, and seasonal desserts such as bourbon chocolate pecan tarts ($4.50) leaf- and pumpkin-shaped cookies ($4) and macarons shaped like pumpkins and turkeys ($5). Blue Mesa Grill

The restaurant is offering a dine-in Thanksgiving brunch ($28 per adult, $7 for kids 6-11, free for children 5 and younger) featuring entrees like roasted turkey, red chile glazed ham and grilled salmon. To-go packages ($120, serving six people) include roasted turkey breast, gravy, Southwest stuffing, cranberry-jalapeño relish, cheese enchiladas, sweet potato mash, redskin mashed potatoes, green beans, chipotle glazed carrots with chile pecans, a holiday salad, dinner rolls and a choice of pies. The restaurant offers ready-to-cook organic, free-range turkeys for $85 (pickup is Nov. 21-24), pies for $19 each, a holiday pies package for $49, magnolia wreaths ($64-$124) and a gingerbread house kit for $25. Add a drink kit for cocktails like Penicillin (fresh ginger, lemon, honey and smoky Scotch whisky) and hot buttered rum. For every pie purchased between Nov. 12 and Nov. 24, the proceeds will be matched and donated to North Texas Food Bank. COVID-19 tests can be added to any Thanksgiving order for $75 per test. 400 S. The Capital Grille

The Thanksgiving sides to-go package serves four to six people for $125 and includes brioche stuffing, housemade gravy, pecan-crusted sweet potatoes with hot honey, cranberry-pear chutney, French green beans, seeded rolls and the restaurant’s signature mashed potatoes. Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop House

The restaurant offers a three-course menu available for takeout or dine-in for $49.95 per person. The menu includes starters like wedge salad with buttermilk blue cheese dressing and sweet corn chowder with smoked chicken, a choice of entree served with sides (apple brined turkey breast, herb and sea salt roasted prime rib and brown sugar and balsamic glazed Scottish salmon) and a choice of dessert (pumpkin cheesecake, butterscotch and toasted pecan bread pudding and flourless triple chocolate cake). City Works

The Frisco eatery has dine-in specials such as slow-roasted prime rib with horseradish cream and au jus ($40) and herb roasted turkey ($30), served with sides like corn casserole and stuffing. A roasted turkey dinner for kids 9 and younger is $15. Dessert options include bourbon pecan pie, brownie sundae and apple crisp. Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que

Cowboy Chicken

The eatery is offering turkeys and holiday to-go packages through Jan. 1. The $109.99 package features a 10- to 12-pound woodfired rotisserie turkey, twice-baked potatoes, an additional side, country-style stuffing, 12 dinner rolls and peach cobbler. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse

The steakhouse is offering a prix fixe dine-in menu starting at $49 that includes a choice of butternut squash soup or harvest salad, slow-roasted turkey breast, apple-sausage stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans and cranberry relish. For dessert, customers can choose pumpkin cheesecake or pecan pie a la mode. To-go family meal packs can feed two to four people starting at $175, or four to six people starting at $250. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

The chain offers the ready-to-eat Holiday Big Yellow Box that serves eight to 12 people and comes with sliced turkey breast, cornbread dressing, gravy, baked potato casserole, green beans with bacon and a dozen buttery rolls. Dive Coastal Cuisine

The seafood restaurant is serving family-style Thanksgiving dishes and sides to-go this year. The menu includes herbed and brined turkey, beef tenderloin, curry butternut squash, Brussels sprouts salad, charcuterie boards, orange cranberry sauce and pies. Prices vary. The Hall Arts Hotel restaurant offers a prix fixe three-course menu for $75 per person. The dine-in meal includes butternut squash soup, organic turkey with orange-sorghum glaze, green bean casserole, jalapeño biscuit stuffing, sweet potato pone, cranberry sauce, sage gravy, pumpkin cheesecake and Texas pecan pie. The pizza spot has a carryout Thanksgiving meal that serves four to six people for $195. The two restaurants are offering a ready-to-eat Thanksgiving dinner kit through Nov. 23 for $90 that feeds four people. It includes smoked turkey breast or ham, buttermilk chive whipped potatoes, smoked jalapeño sausage gravy, cornbread stuffing, green beans, candied yams, cornbread muffins, cranberry relish and dinner salad with honey herb vinaigrette. The eatery at the Westin Stonebriar is serving a family-style dine-in lunch on Thanksgiving Day that includes oven-roasted turkey breast with lemon thyme garlic rub, Dr Pepper glazed North American salmon, pan-fried haricots verts with Texas black garlic butter, roasted root vegetables, pumpkin-spiced panna cotta and white chocolate and pretzel streusel. $32-$58 per person. Chef Anastacia Quiñones’ Guadalajaran-inspired restaurant serves a takeout menu that serves four people for $150 and includes oven roasted turkey and agave butter cornbread with a choice of three sides and one pie. The sides are spicy sausage stuffing, jalapeño corn casserole, poblano macaroni and cheese, roasted brussel sprouts with salsa macha and sweet potato puree with piloncillo. The eatery at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas has a four-course brunch menu available for dine-in Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for $95 per adult and $45 for children 11 and younger. The steakhouse offers holiday feasts to go. The whole prime rib meal serves 12-15 people for $525 and includes mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn and spinach, salad and dressing, sourdough bread, ready-to-bake Yorkshire pudding batter, creamed and straight horseradish and au jus. The half prime rib meal serves six to eight people for $325 and includes the same sides as the whole prime rib meal. Dinner for four is $199. Lockhart Smokehouse

The Plano barbecue restaurant is offering family-style takeout meals for the holiday with meats like smoked turkey and ham, prime rib and whole brisket served with green bean casserole, cheese potato casserole, smoked cream corn, macaroni and cheese, and peach cobbler. $35-$220. Starters include loaded potato skins, mesquite smoked wings and salad; mains include cheeseburgers, ribs, mesquite grilled salmon and chicken tenders; and sides include macaroni and cheese, cinnamon apples and rice pilaf. The chain offers a Thanksgiving special for $11.49 per person that includes either a stuffed turkey leg with one side or classic sliced turkey with two sides. Both meals include cornbread dressing, a dinner roll and a dessert. Available for dine-in or to-go on Nov. 26. Holiday takeout packages start at $69.99; pick up by Nov. 25. Multiple locations.

The Dallas eatery offers a dine-in Thanksgiving plate for $21 per person that includes herb-roasted turkey breast, balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts, sweet potato mash, sage-sausage stuffing muffins and cranberry confit. To-go meals ($72 for four people) include all items from the dine-in Thanksgiving plate, plus cauliflower gratin with herbed panko topping.
