You asked, we answered: a list of Plano’s Black-owned restaurants and businesses

February is Black History Month. Here’s a list of Black-owned businesses to support year-round.

As soon as the protests against police brutality began surging in the Dallas area and around the world in response to the death of George Floyd in May 2020, The Dallas Morning News heard requests from readers asking for a list of Black-owned businesses to support.

A list of more than 50 area restaurants was compiled with assistance from the DFW Black-Owned Restaurants public Facebook group.

Here are some of the Black-owned restaurants to support in Plano, according to the Facebook group and Yelp. It is by no means an exhaustive list, so if you own a restaurant and would like to be added, please email plano@dallasnews.com.
