Mission statement
The SPCA of Texas is dedicated to providing every animal exceptional care and a loving home.
2023–2024 Goals
- Prevent and prosecute animal cruelty: decrease intentional and unintentional animal cruelty in its service area, including hoarding, neglect and inhumane breeding operations; respond and deploy during disasters.
- Care for rescued pets: provide care, protection and rehabilitation so that animals in ourcare lead safe, happy and healthy lives;provide positive outcomes to thousands of rescued animals.
- Keep animals in homes: provide pet food, supplies, veterinary care, situational fostering and housing support for thousands of animals to remain with the families who love them; engage with strategic community partners to provide resources and support for pets and their people.
Areas served
We proudly serve animals in Dallas and Ellis counties with two shelters, one spay-neuter clinic, an animal rescue center, an Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit that responds to thousands of calls across North Texas, and a Pet Resource Center to keep pets in homes.
