A deadly shooting at a Texas elementary school Tuesday left 19 children and two adults dead.
It was the deadliest school shooting in Texas history and occurred four years after a gunman fatally shot 10 people at Santa Fe High School in the Houston area.
Ahead of the Mavericks and Warriors’ Game 4 on Tuesday, coaches Jason Kidd and Steve Kerr spent the entirety of their pregame press conferences discussing the shooting.
Many professional athletes took to social media to express their frustrations and offer support to all those affected by the shooting:
The entire Dallas Cowboys organization grieves alongside the community of Uvalde and all of those affected by today’s tragic event. As we mourn the loss of innocent life, our hearts and prayers are with the victims’ families, loved ones, faculty and staff of Robb Elementary.
