She said it: “What will stick with me from this week is two steals against Reedy. After the first I got the ball to Jordyn Devaughn and she made the basket. When I was getting the second I could feel the energy from my teammates cheering me on… I want to expand my game this year. I have been good in some things, but I want them to be great. I work with boys and I play games with them two or three times a week. In order to play good against boys your skills have to be great. It’s tough. They tell me, ‘This is what it will be like at SFA.’”

Coach said it: “The part of Kyla’s game that is underrated is her passing. The way she sparks the passing game it eventually sets herself up for better shots. She is driven. She helped us make regionals when she was a freshman and a sophomore and she is driven to get back there this year.” — Todd Monsey.
