Top Dallas-area basketball recruits King Grace and Kayden Edwards make college commitments

Faith Family’s Grace picks Mississippi State; Duncanville’s Edwards chooses TCU.

After a rash of top recruits transferred out of state during the offseason, the top two boys basketball players remaining at Dallas-area schools finalized their college plans over the last four days.

Four-star shooting guard King Grace, who transferred from Waxahachie to Oak Cliff Faith Family in the offseason, committed to Mississippi State on Sunday. The 6-4 Grace is the No. 5 recruit in Texas in the Class of 2025, is rated the eighth-best player at his position in the country, and he lists 14 offers on his recruiting page, including Houston, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and LSU.

Duncanville four-star senior shooting guard Kayden “Bugg” Edwards announced Wednesday that he has committed to TCU. The 6-3 Edwards is the seventh-ranked recruit in Texas in the Class of 2025, is ranked 12th at his position in the country, and he chose TCU over Colorado.

Four-star small forward Seven Spurlock, a top-100 national recruit in the Class of 2026 who played at Frisco Memorial the last two years, is now at Prolific Prep in California. Link Academy in Missouri added four-star small forward Trent Perry from Frisco Lone Star and four-star guard Keonte Greybear from Frisco Emerson.
