Denton Ryan linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. announced via Twitter on Saturday his commitment to Texas A&M.

DMN isn’t the only outlet raving about Hill, the 6-2, 225-pound linebacker who has anchored the Denton Ryan defense for the last two seasons. Hill is ranked as a 5-star recruit according to 247Sports, which has him ranked as the No. 15 prospect in the nation and the No. 2 overall high school player in the state of Texas. His 247 scouting report lists Hill as an “athletic, physical, violent off-ball linebacker.”

Hill is the top recruit nabbed by Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies thus far in the 2023 recruiting class. He’s the first 5-star from the class that A&M has landed, though they have gotten commitments from a handful of 4-star recruits, including South Oak Cliff’s Jayvon Thomas.
