Frisco Reedy three-star wide receiver Kaleb Smith announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Thursday night.
Smith is the No. 75 player and the No. 13 ranked receiver in The Dallas Morning News’ top 100 recruits for the class of 2023 rankings. He was initially committed to Texas Tech but decommitted on Nov. 4 after receiving an offer from the Fighting Irish.
The 6-0, 175 pound receiver was an integral part of the Lions undefeated regular season, where he collected 59 receptions for 832 yards and seven touchdowns. Their recent playoff run ended in the regional semifinals with a 28-26 loss to Mansfield Timberview.
Smith is the fourth receiver from the class of 2023 to commit to Notre Dame and the second player from the Dallas-area. Denton Guyer’s five-star safety Peyton Bowen was the first.
