Week 5 Ozarka defensive player of the week: Argyle CB Maliek Bracy

Bracy had a red zone interception that proved to be the difference in Argyle’s win over Colleyville Heritage.

Argyle CB Maliek Bracy

What he did: Bracy had 10 tackles (eight solo, two assisted), 1 tackle for loss, and 1 red zone interception in Argyle’s 42-35 win over Colleyville Heritage, helping the Eagles avenge last year’s playoff loss to the Panthers.

Who he is: A 6-2, 185-pound junior who is a full-time starter for the first time this year. He was an honorable mention for last week’s Defensive Player of the Week nomination.

The stats: This season, Bracy has 24 tackles and three INTs in four games.

He said it: “I feel a lot more comfortable than I did last year when I was younger, and I think I have a much better feel for the game.”
