FRISCO - Matteo Quattrin passed for 274 yards and three touchdowns to lead Frisco Independence to a 44-10 win on Thursday night at David Kuykendall Stadium.

The game started off well for Denton (2-4, 0-2 in District 3-5A Division II) as Coco Brown, the area's 5A leading rusher, broke off a 78-yard touchdown run on the first play of the game. Independence (5-0, 1-0) responded with a score of its own, but a turnover on downs set Denton up with a short field to take a 10-7 lead after the first quarter.

From there it was all Quattrin and Independence as it scored the last 37 points of the game with touchdown passes to Jake Simpson and Austin Call, as well as a trio of rushing touchdowns from Ude Enyeribe, Keith Rockwell and Quattrin.

Independence scored on all four of its second half possessions and kept Denton one-dimensional on offense.

Brown led Denton with 21 carries for 155 yards and the one score.
