KELLER - Kameron Jones ran for 214 yards on 29 carries and scored the game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run, as Plano (1-1) edged past Keller Central (0-2) at the Keller ISD Athletic Complex.

Keller Central took a 34-28 early in the fourth quarter when Chase Garnett’s 3-yard touchdown run finished off a 10-play scoring drive. Plano answered with its own long scoring drive, covering 91 yards in 10 plays. Jones finished the series with his 1-yard touchdown to give Plano a 35-34 with 4:38 to play. Garnett finished with 141 yards rushing and three scores.

On the following series, Plano forced Keller Central to punt after a three-and-out series. Plano then faced a fourth-and-1 at its own 34 with two minutes to play. An offsides penalty against Keller Central allowed Plano to keep the series alive.

Drew Forkner’s 16-yard run on third down gave Plano a first down at the Keller Central 44. Plano ran out the clock to clinch the win.
