RICHARDSON - Richardson Berkner quarterback Cornell McGee IV scored four total touchdowns to beat Richardson 49-0 in both team’s opening District 7-6A game on Friday at Wildcat-Ram Stadium.
Berkner (1-2, 1-1 7-6A) outgained Richardson 427-94, with seven rushers hitting double digits.
Berkner pulled away in the first quarter scoring three rushing touchdowns to make it 21-0. Two of those rushing touchdowns came from McGee IV. McGee IV continued his night by throwing a pair of 20-yard touchdown passes to wide receiver Jayden Hernandez and wide receiver Dameon Crowe. Crowe capped the scoring for Berkner with a 75-yard punt return touchdown in the third. Richardson Berkner’s defense forced three turnovers holding Richardson (1-2, 0-1) scoreless.
