CARROLLTON -- Braxton Baker had two touchdown passes as Hebron (1-1) defeated Wylie 28-13 on Friday night.
The two Hebron quarterbacks, Baker and PJ Crayton, combined to complete 16 of 20 pass attempts.
Micah Greene was the top receiving option for Hebron, catching five passes for 69 yards and the game's final touchdown to put his team up 28-10 in the fourth quarter.
Both defenses carried the game early, as the two rushing attacks were held under 100 yards and less than two yards per carry in the game.
Hebron opened the scoring on its third drive with a 27-yard field goal. After an interception on Wylie's next drive, Baker led Hebron on a 60-yard scoring drive, hitting Trenton Bronaugh for a 24-yard touchdown pass to make it 11-0.
Wylie (1-1) scored just before the end of the first on a Jagger Bale touchdown pass to Chris Lewis to trim the lead to 11-7 just before the halftime break. Bale threw for 126 yards on 25 pass attempts.
